Are you best suited to the role that you are doing? Are you putting together a new project team that needs to be balanced? Would it be valuable to discover strengths and areas for development in your existing team?
The MTR-i is underpinned with Jung's theory of psychological type and the dominant function (MBTI and TDI). We like this tool as it allows us to extend our work with you and your development through one consistent model.
Who is it for?
Any level of team or managers
So how does this differ from Belbin, the MBTI or the TDI?
The Management Team Roles Indicator identifies the current role that team members are performing. Roles can change, whereas psycological type is more consistent. Knowing this allows individuals to identify and work with everyones strengths and to identify those roles which may be under-represented. Comparing this with the results from either the MBTI or TDI can also be a useful way to enhance team performance and to explore where team members may be and feel most valuable.
Combined with the Ideal Team Profile Questionnaire (ITPQ), which reports what the team should be doing, potential areas for change, development and blind spots can be identified.
The eight team roles are:
-
Coach
-
Crusader
-

-
Innovator
-

-
